The area around has been turned into a complex with a bakery, a kitty hall and a café. But people prefer to sit in the resturant inside the plane, for obvious reasons. The restaurant offers pure vegetarian dishes though, bit of a disappointment to hard core Punjabi’s!
Every successful venture has an interesting story associated. This one’s no different. The innovative concept is implemented by 4 cousins, who have seen such kind of project in abroad. As this is a first of its kind project in India, It ran into trouble multiple times for legal reasons. Once over fire safety no-objection certificates, then with Municipal corporation not sure of whether putting this together as a new building. Also, it was reported as a potential traffic hazard as the airplane’s wings touched the edges of the highway. Finally clearing all the permission gateways, the restaurant is serving food to common folks now.
