Sri Krishna Janambhoomi
As the name suggests and the city holds its fortunate history for, lord Krishna made this piece of land pious by taking birth here. The temple has a rich architecture with interesting picturisation of the historic scenes. The deities hold such aura that one can never get enough of Prabhu-darshan(god’s sight). Dwarkadhish temple: Lord krishna was the king of dwarka, again the temple is dedicated to his pleasing aura. It is a masterpiece of art and beautiful stone carvings.

Banke Bihari Temple
The temple carries an interesting story. The curtains in front of the deities are not kept open for the whole time. They are drawn apart on and off after every few minutes, as it is believed that the bright eyes of the lord will turn a person unconscious if seen continuously for a long stretch. Govind Deva Temple
The temple is a masterpiece of sculpture and architecture, considered to be the finest in north india. The lotus flower is ornated in the main hall which multifolds the charm of the temple.

 

Sri Ranganatha Temple
The temple is dedicated to Lord Ranaganatha, a form of lord Vishnu with his shesha-naag (serpent). The temple has a majestic architecture and is 30 mtrs high with gold plated decorations. The rituals performed here are of south Indian style, which are bit different and interesting too. Not to miss!



Nidhivan
It is one of the ‘top of list’ places to visit in vrindavan. The place has an eye-rolling story associated. There are numerous tulsi trees in the van (forest). The offerings made to the lord are done in three parts: Shringaar, Rajbhog and Shayan. It is believed that lord krishna along with radha visit there every night and perform Nitya raas. No person is allowed inside the temple at night as any human is believed to turn deaf, dumb, blind or even dies as they are unable to face the intense light and the presence of lord. Govardhan Hill
It also holds a significant importance in the history of vrindavan. According to the story, lord Krishna lifted the hill on his little finger to protect the village from intense rains.
